Arrived in DC, and it's cold!

We arrived in DC on Monday and found the capitol is held in a deep freeze. Temperatures are in teens and 20's, and there's snow and ice on the ground. Not quite what we were expecting, but we're hopeful based on weather forecasts that it will be quite nice by the weekend. We're glad we checked the weather before leaving so we could be sure to pack warm clothes and coats. With a flight delay, we didn't make it to the hotel until evening. We braved the cold to find some grub at the Capitol City Brewing Company where we found soggy burgers and soggy fries that despite their sogginess, were quite satisfying.

Not to much else to report on. I think we got rather lucky with flights as we found out that hundreds were canceled all across the east coast.
